She'd Be Satisfied
Anticipating the future of Castro’s Cuba, Justo and Salome Navarro made the controversial decision to leave their families and livelihood behind to come to the United States. 50 years later, their granddaughter struggles to understand her own family’s history and her place within the immigration saga. Using family keepsakes, home videos, photography, and emotional interviews, this documentary explores the family’s immigration from Cuba, the relationships that were ripped apart, and the woman that ultimately salvaged these ties from across the sea.
